Grief & Loss

Grief is our response to loss. We recognize we are grieving when a loved one passes away.
Grief is often experienced when we experience other losses, such as:

  • Divorce or relationship break-up

  • Retirement

  • Loss of a job

  • Loss of a dream

  • Health issues

  • A miscarriage

  • Traumatic experiences and the associated loss of safety

Experiencing grief is personal and people experience grief differently.
You may experience crying spells, feel anxious, worried, sad, depressed, have trouble sleeping.
Grief is not only an emotional experience.
Grief often shows up in our bodies as
fatigue, nausea, aches & pains, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping.
